"Reterritorialized Spaces" are created through a special documentation process of performances in public spaces, and are subsequently "archived" as virtually navigable augmented reality sculptures. The focus is on repurposed public spaces that have been temporarily or long-term occupied by autonomously organized communities and have found a new purpose (e.g., factories, hospitals, military areas).
In a specially developed recording process, the surrounding space of a performer is captured by a mirror that they wear on their head and a LIDAR scanner. The person is blind during this process. In connection with the movement of their body, three-dimensional distortions of the environment occur.
The image material thus created is translated into the virtual space. Exhibition visitors can explore the AR sculpture using a tablet or smartphone. A mirror displays the virtual sculpture in the real space.
